Divan Group operates in the hospitality and food and beverage sector through Palmira A.Ş. and Mares A.Ş. Divan operates a total of 6 hotels, 17 patisseries, 15 in-market bakeries, 10 restaurants and 2 catering units.
In November 2009, Divan opened the largest hotel on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, The Divan İstanbul Asia. This 25 storey new building is one of the city’s most exciting new hotels with its 231 guestrooms, 9 meeting rooms, a large ballroom accommodating 1000 partygoers, and a fully equipped Spa & Fitness Center. In line with its expansion strategy in business hotels, Divan will soon open the 120-room Divan Çorlu, the first chain hotel in the region and 19-room Divan Çukurhan Boutique Hotel in Ankara. The company also recently announced the 2011 opening of its first international property, the Divan Erbil, in northern Iraq. The chain’s flagship hotel of Divan Istanbul is also scheduled to reopen in early 2011, after two years of complete renovation.
Divan continues to provide first class hospitality through its existing hotels, such as the Divan Istanbul City, in the center of Istanbul’s modern business district. The Divan Istanbul City was designed with the needs of the executive traveler in mind to provide guests with an optimal combination of convenience, comfort and superior facilities. The Divan Ankara opened in 2007, and is the capital’s most strikingly designed boutique business hotel. Designed to combine sophistication with a contemporary feel and superior functionality, the Divan Ankara offers unique boutique-style service and comfort. The Divan Antalya, with a 35 year tradition of excellence, simply offers the best of everything; whether it is for business or pleasure, or a perfect combination of the two. The Divan Bodrum is a boutique hotel in one of the most exclusive corners of paradise, and was named "the Most Excellent Charming Hotel of Europe and the Mediterranean" by Condé Nast Magazine.
Palmira A.Ş. exports Turkish Delight sweets and chocolates to Australia, France, Ireland, Kuwait, New Zealand, Qatar, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, the UK and the U.S. Divan's new chocolate and Turkish Delight series are on sale in exclusive establishments throughout the world.
