The project, “Moonlight: Light of Health from Aygaz,” was initiated by Aygaz on its 45th anniversary. Moonlight Inspectors visited the vaccination rooms of the 81 healthcare centers that Aygaz restored. The Moonlight: Light of Health from Aygaz project received second place in the Health Volunteers Association’s “Social Responsibility in Health” in 2008. Aygaz will sponsor the project until 2016 and continue to contribute to providing quality healthcare services to hundreds of thousands of people in Turkey.
Aygaz has been supporting the Child and Adolescent Diabetic Association since 2004. This association assists diabetic children in both learning to live with diabetes and enhancing the quality of their lives. A Diabetic Children’s Camp, sponsored by Aygaz, is held at the Istanbul University Enez Facility every July. This camp helps diabetic children socialize and is one of the association’s most important events.
Another project Aygaz supports is “Safe Motherhood,” sponsored by the Turkish Family, Health, and Planning Foundation (TAPV). Aygaz has been supporting the Safe Motherhood project since 2006; thanks to the support of Aygaz, 31,349 expectant mothers and 16,486 mothers in postpartum in Bakırköy, Düzce, and Diyarbakır received training and consultancy services.
