He started his professional career at KPMG, where he held various positions including Associate and Senior Associate between 2000 and 2004. He joined Koç Holding A.Ş. in 2006 as Finance Specialist. Since 2008, he has been working as Finance Manager. 

Taşangil graduated from Bogazici University, Department of Business Administration, and completed his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. 

He was born in 1977 in İstanbul. He is married with one child. He speaks English.​
