Koç Holding Made Combined Investments of 1.7 Billion USD In the First Six Months of the Year

Koç Holding posted a total of 36.4 billion USD in consolidated revenue in the first half of 2026.
Making combined investments of nearly 1.7 billion USD in the first half of the year, Koç Holding’s combined investments reached 16.9 billion USD over the last 5 years.
Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu stated, “In this period when the effects of uncertainty and economic volatility persist particularly in our neighbouring regions but also across the world, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to working for the benefit of our country. Thanks to our strategic vision, financial capabilities and operational discipline, we have delivered a successful performance in the first half of the year. Our group companies Tüpraş, Ford Otosan and Arçelik ranked in the top 10 of the Turkey Exporters Assembly’s ‘Turkey’s Top 1,000 Exporters’, and in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry’s ‘Turkey’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises’ surveys, demonstrating our contribution to the Turkish economy in production and exports.”

Koç Holding announced its financial results for the first half of 2026. Accordingly, while posting a total of 36.4 billion USD in consolidated revenue in the first half of the year, the Group made combined investments of approximately 1.7 billion USD.  Hence, the conglomerate’s combined investments over the last 5 years reached 16.9 billion USD. Assessing the developments of the first half of 2026, Koç Holding CEO Levent Çakıroğlu shared: “In this period when uncertainties and economic fluctuations continue to impact particularly our neighbouring regions but also the whole world, we have remained resolute in our commitment to working for the benefit of our country. Thanks to our strategic vision, financial capabilities and operational discipline, we delivered a successful performance in the first half of the year. Our investments, contribution to production and exports, alongside our long-term sustainability initiatives and our successes on both national and international platforms continue to be the most tangible indicators of our consistent performance and our approach to long-term value creation.”
 
“Our position in production and exports consolidates our global competitiveness”
 
Highlighting the contribution made by Koç Group companies to the Turkish economy in the areas of production and exports, Çakıroğlu affirmed, “With a share of over 8% in Turkey’s exports, our Group makes a significant contribution to our country’s economy. As a recognition of our exports to more than 155 countries, we are proud to once again rank 1st in the Turkey Exporters Assembly’s ‘Turkey’s Top 1,000 Exporters’ survey this year. While Ford Otosan was named ‘Export Champion’ for the 11th time in the survey’s Goods Exports category, Tüpraş ranked 6th and Arçelik ranked 9th in the same study. Furthermore, our Group companies were selected as ‘Export Leaders’ in their respective sectors. In the ‘Turkey’s 500 Largest Industrial Enterprises’ survey compiled by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, Tüpraş retained its top position this year, whilst Ford Otosan came 2nd and Arçelik came 6th.

Çakıroğlu noted that in the second quarter of the year, the Group continued to create value through its strategic investments while advancing value creation through artificial intelligence technologies. Emphasizing Tüpraş’ operational strength and its contribution to our country’s energy security, Çakıroğlu observed, “Whilst making an uninterrupted contribution to our country’s energy security, Tüpraş continues to create value for all its stakeholders through high-capacity utilisation, a flexible crude oil supply structure and strong operational and financial performances. In the second quarter when the global refining capacity utilisation rate fell to 74%, Tüpraş maintained its strong performance thanks to a capacity utilisation rate of 95.6%, crude oil supplies sourced from 11 different countries and operational flexibility and agility”. Çakıroğlu mentioned that Arçelik’s subsidiary Beko B.V. has reached an agreement to acquire shares representing 25% of the capital held by the Whirlpool Group in Beko Europe B.V., adding, “Upon completion of the transaction, Beko B.V. gained full ownership of all European production, sales and marketing activities within Beko Europe. This step will enable Arçelik to manage its decision-making processes more effectively, thereby supporting its long-term growth objectives in Europe.”
 
Sharing that Tofaş continues to lead the Turkish automotive market and has increased its annual production capacity to 500,000 vehicles, Çakıroğlu remarked, “Through the key roles it plays in global product development projects, Tofaş continues to create added value for the Turkish economy, industry and R&D capabilities. Manufacturing the K0-coded mid-size light commercial vehicle range for the Citroën, FIAT, Opel and Peugeot brands at its Bursa plant, Tofaş will soon begin production of the K9-coded light commercial vehicle range for these four brands, following the completion of the production programme for the Fiat Egea, Turkey’s most popular car for 10 consecutive years. With the new projects it has launched, Tofaş is further strengthening its production and engineering capabilities, whilst continuing to contribute to the competitiveness and exports of Turkey’s automotive industry.”
 
Noting that Yapı Kredi’s financing transactions in international markets during the first six months of the year have once again confirmed the bank’s strong balance sheet, high liquidity and reputation amongst global investors, Çakıroğlu declared: “Yapı Kredi raised over 2 billion USD in new funds during the second quarter of the year. By diversifying its funding structure through a combination of capital markets, syndicated loans and structured finance instruments, our bank has once again reinforced the confidence of international investors. The funds raised are strengthening both our bank’s sustainable growth and the financial support we provide to the national economy.”

Underlining that in its second century as well Koç Group focuses on creating long-term value across all areas of operation and pursues its initiatives on climate change, water management and technology-driven transformation with the same determination, Çakıroğlu concluded his remarks saying: “Our efforts to combat climate change and protect water resources are also being recognised on international platforms. The fact that Koç Holding has maintained its leadership status by achieving an ‘A’ rating in the Climate Change and Water Security Programme of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the world’s only independent environmental reporting platform, is a concrete indicator of the steps we have taken. In the coming period, we will continue to view sustainability as an integral part of our responsibility towards future generations and to further advance our leadership in this field.”
