Vehbi Koç Foundation established The Koç School’s high school in 1988, primary and middle school in 1998, and it quickly became one of Turkey’s most prestigious educational institutions. With a diverse faculty and a ratio of seven teachers for every student, the school pioneers educational areas both nationally and internationally.
The Koç School’s enrollment of over 2,000 students makes it one of the largest private schools in Turkey. Providing an excellent academic background to all its students to prepare them to prominent Turkish and international universities, English as a second language begins in kindergarten, Modern Foreign Language instructions begin in Middle School and all students graduate with remarkable language skills.
All academic and social development opportunities bring the school impressive results; every year about half of the graduating class apply to international universities and receive considerable amounts of scholarships. The student body is also geographically diverse thanks to The Koç School’s boarding capabilities with 5 and 7 day boarding options for high school students.
The Koç School has been offering the option to graduate with a double diploma since 1994, the first school to do so in Turkey: the International Baccalaureate diploma and the Turkish Ministry of Education’s diploma.
The Koç School is member of ECIS (Educational Collaborative for International Schools), NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling), and the IB diploma program.
